Cookie Policy

Disclosure made, in accordance with EU Regulation 679/2016, hereinafter referred to as "GDPR", Articles 13 and 122 of the Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/03) and the General Measure of the Guarantor of May 8, 2014 on cookies, to users who connect to the site "www.zerostudio.it", hereinafter referred to as "site name".

What are Cookies

Cookies are simple pieces of information that are transferred from the website and stored on the hard disk of the user's computer, and are small text files that allow websites to store certain data to make them accessible at a later user access.

Based on origin, cookies are divided into two categories:

  • proprietary cookies, which are created, deleted and modified directly by the visited site.
  • third-party cookies, which are created by other sites that own the content, such as ads, images, social buttonsorother services, displayed on the web page of the site you are visiting.

Based on their duration instead, cookies can be classified as follows:

  • temporary cookies(e.g. session cookies) that are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.
  • permanent cookieswhichremain available until they are explicitly deleted by the user or until their natural expiration, set by the site itself.

Most sites use cookies because they are among the technical tools commonly used on the web that can improve navigation and user experience while also allowing them to offer personalized services (e.g., avoid asking for login credentials each time, remember the last application used, keep products in the shopping cart, show content important to the user, remember that a message has already been viewed, etc.).

These are also called "technical cookies" and do not fall under the scope of data processing governed by the GDPR because they do not contain any personal data, or identifiers associated with personal data or other user-identifying information, and their use is strictly functional to the provision of services by the site.

Advertising companies may also use technical cookies, for example, to limit the number of times to display a particular ad, or to set the frequency of displaying advertisements ( banner rotation).

In any case, cookies can only be read or modified by the site that created them and cannot be used to access any other user data through the browser nor can they transmit computer viruses since they are not software programs, but simple text information that cannot possibly harm the computer.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically, and yet the user can disable cookies directly from your browser.

It is good to know, however, that depending on the quality level of the services offered by the site, the deactivation of cookies may mean that the user may not be able to use all or some of the online features and in some cases access to the site itself.

The cookies on our site

Like most websites, our site also uses cookies to improve the user experience, to make our applications easier to use, and to provide enhanced features that would not be possible without the use of cookies.

Our site uses proprietary and third-party cookies.

Regarding proprietary cookies we use only "technical cookies" both temporary and permanent.

Temporary technical cookies

Temporary cookies include the PHPSESSID cookie, which enables the operation of the sessions that end when the browser is closed.

Sessions are essential to authenticate registered users to the site or to use those applications that require multi-step data entry, such as forensic parameters, expense reports, or electronic invoices.

Sessions are also useful in order not to lose data entered in the applications in case the user changes pages or in theintegration between the applications themselves (e.g., the writ integrated with the notice of service, which are two separate applications).

Permanent technical cookies

Our site also manages several persistent cookies with various deadlines based on their functionality.
Below are the main features of our site that use technical cookies:

  • save user preferences in some applications, such as choosing the flat-rate scheme in billing.
  • determine whether a user visits the site for the first time and the date of the last visit (this cookie is based on an anonymous numeric identifier from which the IP address cannot be traced).
  • Ensure automatic access to the site by registered users through the "remember" function.
  • view no more than once messages and communications about new services, new publications, or otherwise.
  • Prevent repeated voting(rating) of applications and articles to ensure the veracity of the data.
  • memorize the type of browser (desktop, tablet or smartphone).
  • remember which side navigation bar menus have been opened or closed.
  • Remember the user's preference for cookies under this policy.
  • detect the presence of adblockein the browser to view the relevant policy.
  • other minor uses that we omit for brevity.

Third-party cookies

The site allows the transmission of third-party cookies (social media, advertising agencies and statistical monitoring), limiting itself in this case to the mere sending of cookies to the user's terminal, without managing their operation and content, which therefore remain the sole responsibility of the third parties.

Our site uses only "native" cookies from various browsers (text-type information) and does not make use of so-called "Flash Cookies" (a different type of cross-browser cookie) but some third-party sites may use this technology that requires the Adobe-Flash plugin to be present in the browser.

Social Media

Regarding social media, we use the sharing services of Google+, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin through the platform Addthis.

Statistics

We use Google Analytics, hereinafter referred to as "GA", for tracking site access and browsing statistics.

The GA tracking code makes use of technical cookies to allow us to analyze, in an anonymous and aggregate form, user traffic on our site (most visited pages, new users, returning users, browser and device types, page loading and viewing speed, etc.).

In addition to the "standard" information, our site sends to the GA platform, again anonymously and without personal data, some specific dimensions of analysis that help us better understand the behavior of our users in order to improve the service offered in relation to:

  • Traffic analysis of registered users.
  • Enabling cookies according to this policy.
  • Using adblock software(installation and uninstallation).

Advertisements

The following independent advertising companies are used to run ads on this site:
Google Adsense and Yieldlove.

For managing some advertising space on our site, including any direct advertisers, we use the Google Ad Manager product.

The independent advertising companies we use to show ads make use of technical cookies to manage various parameters related to the display of ads (frequency, rotation, etc.) and may make use of profiling cookies to show the user personalized ads.

Information on the use of such cookies is made by each company, as required by the Privacy Guarantor, and there is usually a button on each individual ad where you can view the company's individual cookie policies.

Personalized Ads

Personalized advertisements, or interest-based ads, are ads selected based on user preferences collected by companies in compliance with privacy regulations, and are not based on personally identifiable data.

For this purpose companies may use cookies, give you profiling cookies, but these do not include your name, home address, email address, phone number or other data that can identify you in any way.

If you would like more information about this and to learn about the options available to prevent Google Adsense from using this data click here..

Cookie Deactivation

Cookies can be turned off using your browser settings.
As mentioned, disabling cookies means, for technical reasons, that you may be limited orunable to access all the features of the site, or that advertising companies may be unable to show you personalized ads that may be of interest to you.

For example, disabling session cookies from the browser results in the inability to log on to the site and enter the restricted area, and prevents the operation of some applications based entirely on sessions.

Sometimes browsers give you the option to disable all cookies except session cookies, but even then various features of the site will not be available, including, for example, the "remember"feature that allows you to log in without typing in your user and password each time.

Disabling cookies also prevents us from showing you any one-time service messages, or whether you are a new user or a user who has already visited our site.

More information about cookies can be found in the Faq of the Data Protection Authority.
